This tour is ideal for those who want to look for the big five in a few days thus combining Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, which gives one a chance to track the southern white rhinos on foot, and Murchison Falls National Park for the rest of the wildlife with expectations of seeing lions, leopards, buffaloes and elephants to complete the big 5. There are also several other animals one is likely to encounter on this safari including, monkeys, a variety of antelope species, one of which is the Hartebeest, whose memory span is considered to be too low in an area that has predators on the prowl; hippos, crocodiles and numerous bird species. Also to mention that this safari destination is home to the world’s three heaviest land mammals: elephants hippos and rhinos. This tour can be arranged for one-person minimum and sixteen people maximum.

Itinerary
The Green and Lush Adventures tour guides will meet you at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, to start on the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. This trip will be started in the morning to allow for us to get to our destination early. We shall have a lunch stop in Masindi town, and thereafter head to the park via the Kichumbanyobo gate, and continue to our lodge to relax as we prepare for further exploration of the park the following day.

Start your day with an early morning game drive, with an opportunity to catch the predators winding up with their late supper or catching/skimming for a quick breakfast snack. This game drive will allow you see a variety of animals such as Elephants (the Eles) walking ponderously to the nearest water hole, the forgetful Hartebeests, Buffalos, Kobs, Nubian Giraffes, also on the list are the Lions, Leopards and Hyenas, which make for surprise appearances. Take note of the different bird species like Abyssinian ground hornbills and Black-headed lapwings etc. After the game drive, go on an afternoon boat cruise upriver, where numerous hippos can be spotted, and a few bold crocodiles that emerging to scan their environment representing the ones that bask at the shores pretending to be in a “trance”. The several aquatic birds on this cruise are a great sight to behold. This cruise takes you to the bottom of the falls where the Fajoa Gorge can be spotted at a distance. Return to the Lodge for Evening Tea, Dinner and over night stay.

Today is dedicated to a visit of the top of the falls, upon which your arrival at the edge of the cliff reveals a great spectacle, where the sight, sound and feel of the Nile thunders through the narrow gorge, making an unforgettable three-pronged assault on the senses. Photographic opportunities are well captured at this spot. There after we embark on a quick tour of Masindi town, specifically heading out to visit the ancient sites of the town.

After breakfast we check out of the Lodge, and head out for our last activity of the tour, and that is a visit to the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for an opportunity to track an emblematic animal - the Northern White Rhino, considered to be endangered and hence highly protected in Africa. After the Rhino tracking, we commence on our return journey to Kampala where your trip will end with a drop-off to your hotel.
